Tile

This St. Louis Park home had a small bathroom that had been very poorly remodeled in the past. We took it down to the studs and replaced all the plumbing and electrical. We expanded the footprint slightly by shortening an adjacent closet and changing the swing of the door. A timeless and classy tile installation and custom vanity make the most of this small space.

A botched 80's tile job caused leaking and water damage, we tore out the old tile and installed new underlayment and tile. The tile the customer chose was a stunning natural stone with a glass liner.

This is a 3/4 bath added to the main floor of a home that lacked a main floor bath. The space was limited so we had to make a custom vanity and really think through the design to make it useable and work within the space. In floor heat elminated the need for a radiator, which made all the difference in the small footprint available. The tile is hand made and sourced from Clay Squared to Infinity. The second photo shows the custom walnut vanity, it's a few inches shallower than a standard vanity to allow for it to fit between the wall the doors on either side of the room.

Here's a childs bathroom in a whole house remodel in South Minneapolis. We also did a master suite and a first floor powder room on this project. This room is the kids bath and features some whimsical locally made tile from Clay Squared to Infinity. The wall tile is from Heritage Tile of Oak Park. Also a nice custom made oak Vanity. Design work on this project was by Firm2 Architects.

This St. Paul condo was quite dated and the quality of the finishes was low.The customer did not have a large budget, but wanted to update and modernize. We tore out the carpet and installed hardwood floors, re did the bathroom and the kitchen. We removed the wall betwen the kitchen and dining room and opened up the floor plan, also creating an eat in kitchen countertop. We installed some big box store cabinets and countertops but did a nice tile backsplash and tile floor to keep the project affordable but still upgrade the living space.

This NE Minneapolis house had a dated 60's kitchen and all the original historic details removed. We fixed some structural issues and gutted the kitchen, upgrading all the mechanicals. The trim was replaced to match the homes historic style and new quartersawn oak cabinets installed. Granite countertops are great, but what really makes this kitchen is the hand made tile back splash from North Prairie Tile Works.

Renovation of a bahtroom in NE Minneapolis. We tore out a bath from a 1960's house flip and re did the room in a vintage turn of the century style. We custom built this medicine cabinet and installed a custom made floor tile border from Clay Squared to Infinity.

A renovated Victorian in the Summit University area had previously been stripped of it's original woodwork including the mantle piece. The customer had Woodland Stove install a new gas insert vented out of the original chimney. The mantle was a salvage piece we had refinished and we installed the mantle and custom tile from North Prairie Tileworks.

This home in Woodbury had a bizarre cramped 1980's bathroom. The adjoining master bedroom lacked a closet and much of the existing bath was taken up by shelving and storage cabinets. Our solution to the problem was to build a bump out to enable us to build a set of wardrobe cabinets. This freed up floor space to re organize the bathroom in a more useable and spacious manner. We custom built all the cabinetry. The floor and wall tile is travertine. The shower enclosure was custom fabricated by a local glass shop.
