Bathroom

This bathroom was in a 1980's home that was quite dated. We tore it out and replaced the windows, updated the mechanicals, and started over with a new design from Firm2 Architecture. We custom fabricated all new cabinetry from walnut with a clear finish. Also new walnut trim was custom fabricated for this job. We added a custom tile shower enclosure with a frameless glass surround. Herringbone tile on the floor gives it a very modern look.

This 1940's home in Edina had an addition from the 80's with a very low quality bathroom. We tore it out and started fresh with a new design from Neat Little Nest design firm. We replaced a plastic shower stall and whirlpool tub with this tile shower. This created some space for a custom built make up table and lighted medicine cabinet. Hex tile on the walls and a contemporary vanity finish the clean and modern look.

This bathroom in a 1910 building in East Isles, Minneapolis had been poorly renovated in 2004. We tore it out and re configured the floor plan, adding this large walk in shower with a built in bench.

This job in the Fern Hill area of St. Louis Park was a renovation of a 1940's home. The home had two small bathrooms and the customer wanted a bigger master suite. We tore out one of the bathrooms and bedrooms and re built the second floor to feature an enlarged master bath, main floor laundry and a bigger master bedroom. I hope to get better photos of this job, as the customer was moving in the day I took these. We custom built those vanities and the make up table as well as the mirrors. Custom shower tile and glass. Architect on this project was Scott Newland of Newland Architecture.

A botched 80's tile job caused leaking and water damage, we tore out the old tile and installed new underlayment and tile. The tile the customer chose was a stunning natural stone with a glass liner.

Here is an Arts and Crafts style bathroom using some very nice handmade tile from Heritage Tile of Oak Park and North Prairie Tile Works. The focal point is the Heritiage Tile copy of a 1920's Koi Mural by Ernest Batchelder. Custom shower glass and dark oak trim help set the arts and crafts mood.

This project's goal was to create a 3/4 bath in a tiny powder room space and a main floor laundry in a vintage butlers pantry. Newland Architecture came up with a creative design that allowed for a small but elegant bath with a "wet" floor in the European style. The vintage styling blends with the character of the home. The butlers pantry was reconfigured with new custom cabinets copied from the original pantry cabinets. Space was at a premium so all the cabinets were custom built to fit the space and a custom stainless sink/top fabricated for the laundry sink.

This is a 3/4 bath added to the main floor of a home that lacked a main floor bath. The space was limited so we had to make a custom vanity and really think through the design to make it useable and work within the space. In floor heat elminated the need for a radiator, which made all the difference in the small footprint available. The tile is hand made and sourced from Clay Squared to Infinity. The second photo shows the custom walnut vanity, it's a few inches shallower than a standard vanity to allow for it to fit between the wall the doors on either side of the room.

Here's a childs bathroom in a whole house remodel in South Minneapolis. We also did a master suite and a first floor powder room on this project. This room is the kids bath and features some whimsical locally made tile from Clay Squared to Infinity. The wall tile is from Heritage Tile of Oak Park. Also a nice custom made oak Vanity. Design work on this project was by Firm2 Architects.

A customer needed to add a second bath for a growing family. We added this bathroom and a family room in a previously unfinished basement. Contrasting to the vintage look of the rest of the house, this is a more modern "hotel style" bathroom.
