Oak Staircase

This photo was taken before the stairs were stained and finished. I hope to get some better photos when the home is completed.

These stairs are in a house by the MIA in Minneapolis. The house was remuddled in the 80's and the old stairs enclosed with a sheet rock and carpet as part of a botched duplex conversion. The new owner is turning the house back to a single family home and wanted the grand oak stairs back. We tore out the old stair framing and rebuilt it to compensate for changes in the floor height and to get all the rise and run up to current code. We designed and built the handrail assembly and the trim at the rail shoe. I can't wait to post photos once it's stained and finished when the house is completed.
